About

I am a consultant, strategic advisor and freelance writer/editor serving the media/entertainment, technology and food/lifestyle industries. With nearly 20 years’ experience as a journalist and trade association executive, I am now making my diverse skill set available to startup companies and established market leaders alike in a wide variety of roles.

I’m currently working with NARM’s digitalmusic.org group as the organization’s community manager, where I oversee the activities of various digital music industry workgroups and conduct membership outreach activities.

Most recently I spent seven years as the digital media editor for Billboard magazine, where in addition to covering the intersection of media and technology for print and web properties, I also produced several successful conferences convening the leaders in the media, developer and investing communities.

Previously I spent nearly a decade in the mobile industry as both an editor at RCR Wireless News and as Asst. VP of Wireless Internet Development and CTIA–The Wireless Association.

Additionally, I’m a home cook, gardener and lifelong skier… all passions I’m exploring further as a freelance writer. Where possible, I’d like to merge my digital/mobile content expertise to these topics as well.

The digital music beat is an often contentious one, with strong passions and valid positions taken by content owners and technology developers alike.
